The Thorny Devil might be the iconic Australian desert country lizard but I haven't found it easy to find one.
They are remarkable creatures though, and I was delighted to find this one on the track.
One of the Thorny Devils adaptations for obtaining water in arid areas is the capillary action of channels in its skin which channel moisture, such as dew, up to the corners of its mouth.
